Sue Savage-Rumbaugh, resident scientist at the Iowa Primate Learning Sanctuary, shares hope for the future in this radio interview with NPR’s Charity Nebbe on Talk of Iowa on Iowa Public Radio.

Both Dr. Savage-Rumbuagh and Executive Director Julie Gilmore answered questions about historical and recent events at IPLS, formerly known as the Great Ape Trust in this 30 minute interview.

Following an investigation, Sue Savage-Rumbaugh has been cleared and reinstated as the resident scientist at the Iowa Primate Learning Sanctuary, formerly the Great Ape Trust, but the future of the organization is anything but certain. Savage-Rumbaugh gives several examples of past creative work and the current plans to build a visitors’ center that will be open to the public, and to create an artist residency program.
